Curriculum

Our curriculum is quite inclusive cutting across all major domains of learning while inculcating the best of the various curriculums we offer. Our subjects according to various sections are listed below:

Early Years & Elementary School Subjects:

  • Language Skills: Reading exercises, drama, puppetry, vocabulary development, phonics and story time.
  • Nursery rhymes and poetry
  • Mathematics Skills: Number work, Sense and Identification, concept development and Operations
  • Science: Observation, analysis, synthesis exploration

Religious Education:

Examines concepts, which guide ideal behaviour

Help pupils to explore the more personal aspects of religion by addressing questions about meaning, value and purpose in life as sanctioned by the tenets of their religions

  • Personal & Social Development Skills: Identifies and reflects on the values, which they and society uphold Skills such as eating and toilet etiquettes are taught so that pupils can learn the ability to distinguish right from wrong and to appreciate good behaviour, courtesy and respect for others

HIGH SCHOOL (GRADE 10-12) (END PRODUCT)

Our high school which makes up the final years of secondary education and the 6th form programme designed for 16-19 year olds is our end product therefore our primary objective for this programme is to prepare and assist this young adults in achieving the qualifications needed to take them to university and beyond Coming to the end of compulsory schooling can be liberating but can also be troubling. There are so many directions for life, we help our students understand their options, decide on their direction then offer them first rate support to achieve their goal

Our high school students offer the traditional core courses as offered in the middle school along with an extensive exploratory program. At this stage emphasis is placed on preparing students for the careers they will undertake in life

The range of extra-curricular activities provided is extensive cutting across sporting activities, creative and performing arts, drama, debates, vocational skills, taekwondo, chess, swimming, horse riding, leadership development and community service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Degree in a related field supported with a post-graduate diploma in education.
  • IGCSE Certification and being a member of TRCN is an added advantage;
  • Minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years’ experience in an international school as a primary or secondary school teacher;
  • Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices, modern pedagogical trends and a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures;
  • Computer literacy and evidence of use of ICT to support literacy;
  • Ability to multi-task, good organizational and coordination skills.
