Job Summary

  • We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Brand and Media Manager to join our team.
  • You’ll work across all levels and departments of our organization to find what makes us unique and communicate it to the world.
  • As the Brand and Media Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing engaging video content, as well as conducting research and analysis on money, the African economy, and finance.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of brand management, and media production, and a passion for staying up-to-date with current economic trends in Africa.


  • Develop and execute video content strategies to promote our brand and engage our target audience.
  • Plan, script, shoot, and edit high-quality videos that effectively communicate key messages and align with our brand identity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure videos are aligned with marketing objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve video production techniques and content quality.
  • Conduct in-depth research on various topics related to money, the African economy, and finance.
  • Analyze economic data, trends, and reports to identify insights and opportunities for our brand.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in the African economic landscape and provide regular updates to the team.
  • Utilize research findings to create compelling content, reports, and presentations that showcase our expertise and thought leadership.
  • Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that resonates with our target audience.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all media channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop brand guidelines, including tone of voice, visual elements, and key messaging.
  • Monitor brand performance, conduct market research, and gather customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and brand growth.
  • Effectively manage keyword strategies(SEO)
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to increase brand visibility.
  • Develop and execute media strategies to secure media coverage and promote our brand.
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze its impact on brand perception and reputation.
  • Prepare press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to effectively communicate key messages.
  • Meet specified deadlines
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Assist in the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, particularly in the areas of money, African economy, and finance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • In-depth knowledge of brand management principles and strategies.
  • Familiarity with media relations and experience in securing media coverage.
  • Proficiency in video editing software and other relevant tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.).
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
  • High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of African economic trends and an understanding of cultural distinction is highly desirable.
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and media best practices.
