Work Experience
- 4-10 years HANDS-ON experience in Diesel and Gas Caterpillar Engines/Gen Sets (G3412, G3408,D3512, G3516, G3512, D3304), Sulzer Pumps, Waukesha VHP Engines(L5790GSIU), Cameron/Howden and Siemens compressors, Solar Turbines(Mars 100, Taurus 60, centaur 40) with demonstrated excellent skills in Technical Reports writing.
- Familiarity or experience in SPDC assets in Tunu Node shall be considered added advantage
Technology / Equipment Competences.
- Skilled at Caterpillar gas/diesel engines troubleshooting and repair (G3412, G3408, D3512, G3516, G3512),
- Skilled at Sulzer pump troubleshooting and repair
- Skilled at Waukesha Gas Engine troubleshooting and repair
- Skilled at use of Caterpillar diagnostic tools (ET)
- Skilled at overhaul of Engine Accessories, Engine Clutches, Cylinder heads, Air starter motors and engine cooling systems (radiator and water pump)
- Knowledge at carrying out 4K and 8K inspection of Solar Turbines, Siemens/Waukesha Compressors (Inspection and repair/re-kit of suction and discharge valves)
- Skilled at Technical report writing
Professional Certifications
- Gas & Diesel Engine Training / certification (would be considered added advantage)
- PTW competent (would be considered added advantage).
Technical Skills (Added advantage)
- Ability to demonstrate in-depth discipline expertise to the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment in remote locations
- Ability to review and analyze all equipment failure pattern
- Ability to trends failure pattern and offer paramount solutions.
- Ability to work on engines (diesel & gas) and pumps without supervision
- Ability to lead and manage technical crew for field callouts
- To support other Teams for intervention activities in utility power sub-stations and locations
- Ability to carry out troubleshooting on diesel / gas engines and pumps
- Ability to carry put repair works on caterpillar engine accessories (starter motor, butterfly assembly, diesel/gas engine fuel systems, emergency shutdown switches etc.)
- Ability to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment (Caterpillar and Waukesha Engines, Sulzer pumps, Cameron Compressors compressors)
- Ability to execute routine FLM (First Line Maintenance) checks on running equipment
- Ability to work in instrument air compressors, and emergency fire pumps
- Ability to use / operate power and hand tools and machinery to perform various inspections, repairs and analysis on equipment
- Ability to use diagnostic tools during overhaul and troubleshooting (ET,)
- Ability to provide technical support to contractor, analyzing, identifying mechanical potential problems.
- Experience in Oil and AGG facilities operations
Work Cycle
- The work location is Swamp-field based accessible via the Helicopter.
- The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
- The successful candidate will manage own absences with his supervisor/contractor for suitable qualified covers.
- There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.
- Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises.
