Live-in Family Driver and Household Support Staff at a Reputable Company

Background:

We are currently seeking a highly capable and professional individual to work for our client as a Live-in Family Driver and Household Support Staff. This position is based in Abuja and requires a candidate who can efficiently fulfill the role of a family driver while also taking care of additional responsibilities, including running errands, attending to house pets, maintaining the health of flowering plants, cleaning the compound, and performing laundry duties, particularly ironing clothes. The ideal candidate must possess excellent critical thinking skills, be trustworthy, and exhibit a smart and presentable appearance.

Job Responsibilities:

Driving:

  • Safely and responsibly operate the family vehicle to transport family members and guests as required.
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle at all times.
  • Adhere to traffic rules and regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers and pedestrians.
  • Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, considering factors such as appointments and daily activities.

Errand Management:

  • Run various errands, such as grocery shopping, banking, and bill payments, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect and deliver packages, documents, and other items as instructed by the family.
  • Maintain accurate records and receipts for all transactions.

Household Support:

  • Take care of house pets, including feeding, grooming, and scheduled walks.
  • Ensure the well-being and health of flowering plants by providing appropriate care and maintenance.
  • Keep the compound clean and well-organized, including sweeping, mowing the lawn, and disposing of waste.
  • Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing clothes to maintain a neat and presentable appearance.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a family driver, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Familiarity with Abuja roads and locations.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of trustworthiness and reliability.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Maintain a smart and presentable appearance.
  • Basic knowledge of pet care and gardening is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Appointment for this position is normally on a probationary basis, which may be confirmed after three months of satisfactory service. Accommodation will be provided on the property.
