Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Officer to join our team
  • The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation and storage of building materials to ensure efficient and timely delivery to our customers.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange and oversee the transportation of building materials from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers’ sites.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to schedule deliveries and ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Monitor the quality of incoming materials and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop efficient delivery routes to minimize transportation costs and maximize delivery efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery schedules.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any logistics-related issues or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance logistics operations.
  • Work closely with the procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
