Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze patient samples such as blood, semen, and tissue samples for fertility tests and procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures, such as semen analysis, hormone assays, and embryology procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and laboratory procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Follow strict laboratory protocols, quality control measures, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with the preparation of samples and solutions for various fertility treatments, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
- Collaborate with other members of the fertility team, including physicians, and nurses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited program.
- 0 – 1 year work experience.
- Entry Level Position. Willing to be trained on the job.
- MLSCN Registered
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer software for data entry and analysis.
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with fertility laboratory procedures and techniques is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions, as on-the-job training is provided.
