Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Animal Science, Food Science, or Poultry Science (required)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer work orders
- Schedule production crew assignments
- Ensure work orders are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure production crew is trained on proper use and handling of chemicals
- Interview, hire, evaluate performance and administer disciplinary actions
- Oversee employee and food safety programs
- Ensure achievement of productivity and efficiency
- Confer with management personnel to establish quality control standards
- Plan and direct processing activities
- Establish processing priorities for products
- Coordinate processing activities with procurement and maintenance
- Consult with engineering personnel relative to the modification of machines
