Job Summary

Managing the financial and monetary aspects of a business, which includes cash flow, liquidity, funding, and relationships with financial institutions.

Job Descriptions

  • Organising, Preparing agenda as well as taking minutes of Board meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and Executive Management Committee meetings of the parent company;
  • Organising the Annual Board Retreat;
  • Maintaining statutory books, including registers of members, Directors and Secretaries;
  • Handling all correspondence, collating information, writing reports and ensuring that decisions made by the Board are communicated to the relevant company stakeholders;
  • Liaising and monitoring the Bank’s Registrar to ensure that the Bank obtains optimum value from their engagement;
  • Contributing to meeting discussions, as and when required, and advising Directors of the legal, goverance, implications of proposed policies;
  • Ensuring compliance with Post listing requirement of the Nigerian Stock Exchanbe;
  • Ensuring that the Bank and the subsidiaries comply with all applicable codes on Corporate Goverance;
  • Prepare performance evaluations for all personnel in the Unit in accordance with the Bank’s performance appraisal system;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to by the Group Managing Director.

Professional Requirements

  • A good first degree in Law and BL.
  • A recognised Professional Certification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 7 years post qualification experience in Legal within the Financial Services Industry, of which at least 4 must have been in the Banking Sector and 1 year must have been at a Senior Management level
