About the Job | Digital Marketing Lead at Afrimash

  • We are looking for an experienced and result driven Digital Marketing Lead to join our awesome Marketing team!
  • As a Digital Marketer at our company, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall company’s digital marketing strategy to drive acquisition and retention.
  • Digital marketing strategies are extremely important to our company’s success, so you will play a crucial role in achieving our business goals and objectives.
  • We expect you to have experience and a big passion for digital technologies and various digital marketing channels.
  • Our ideal candidate is a technologysavvy team player who is datadriven, energetic, processdriven, detailed, and accurate person who loves marketing, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and social media management.
  • He or she should be a creative problem solver, who can take the lead but can also collaborate with smaller teams and know how to juggle multiple priorities in marketing.

Key Tasks

  • Manage all digital marketing channels (e.g. website, blogs, emails and social media) to ensure brand consistency
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Work towards achieving the revenue and sales targets for the organisation
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate endtoend customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Implement and execute strategic plans for leveraging the eCommerce marketplace to grow the business, focusing on sales trends, promotional opportunities, and marketing activities.
  • Liaise with Product, Design and Sales directors to increase client satisfaction through cohesive strategies
  • Monitor competition and provide ideas to stand out.

Entry Requirements

  • First Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, English, Language Arts, Digital Technologies or related fields
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Uptodate with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Familiarity with web design
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and datadriven thinking.
