Job Brief

  • We are looking to employ a highly professional HR generalist with outstanding analytical and communication skills. The HR generalist will be expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. To ensure success, you would need to exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training.
  • You will ned to have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related (essential).
  • 4 years of experience as an HR coordinator/Manager (essential).
  • Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
  • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
