Legal Officer at Harmony Holdings Limited

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to understand the legal issues related to a Holding Company’s business activities.
  • Draft Legal documents, such as MoUs, contracts, agreements, and legal opinions, to ensure that the Company’s legal interests are protected.
  • Advise Company Management and Employees on Legal matters, such as Contract interpretation, Regulatory Compliance, and Risk Management.
  • Represent the company in Legal proceedings, such as arbitration, court cases and mediation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure Compliance with Legal and Regulatory statutory requirements.
  • Manage Legal disputes, such as lawsuits or claims against the Company, and work to resolve them
  • Collaborate with External Legal Counsel to ensure that the company receives the best possible Legal advice and representation.
  • Train and educate employees on legal matters, such as compliance with Laws and Regulations, and best practices for Legal risk management.

Requirements

  • First degree in Law with a minimum of 4 Years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Must have some working experience as a Company Secretary; between 1-3 Years.
  • Must possess knowledge or experience in Corporate Law, Employment law, or intellectual property law.
  • Strong analytical, excellent oral and written communication skills.
