The Technical Training Manager’s responsibilities include identifying training needs, developing educational curricula and material and increasing trainees’ engagement with learning sessions.
Responsibilities
- Impart training program (in house & for channel Partners) – technical/ product/ driver training.
- Conduct new employee aftermarket/ workshop orientations
- Coordinate established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by local colleges, technical/vocational schools, manufacturers, and trade associations.
- Formulate training calendar, programs, and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, individual department processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures or services.
- Organize and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
- Maintain training records and documents certain training as required by local, state, or federal regulations.
- Train supervisory personnel in effective techniques for on-the-job training and performance evaluation.
- Stay abreast of new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Attend managers meetings as requested & confers with managers and supervisors to determine training needs.
Desired Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Technical Trainer
- Experience in developing technical course content both for novices and experts with technology
- Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms using simple language
- Additional certification in training (e.g. Certified Technical Trainer)
