Job Summary:

The role of Virtual Operations Personnel, operating in a remote capacity with a focus on food delivery via dispatch services, is pivotal to ensuring the seamless day-to-day functioning of Rimas Kitchen and Pastries, especially in the absence of a sit-in dining space. This position encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities, from overseeing staff performance to managing inventory and ensuring superior customer service in the realm of food delivery. The Virtual Operations Personnel collaborates closely with the restaurant manager to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our esteemed clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of the restaurant staff, with a strong emphasis on those engaged in food preparation and dispatch services.
  • Contribute to the selection, training, and scheduling of staff in alignment with food delivery requirements.
  • Uphold strict adherence to the restaurant’s policies, procedures, and service standards relevant to food delivery.

Customer Service (Food Delivery Focus):

  • Cultivate and exemplify the highest standard of customer service, promptly and professionally addressing customer inquiries or concerns related to food delivery.
  • Uphold an environment of professionalism and efficiency in the realm of food dispatch.

Inventory Management (Food Delivery Focus):

  • Diligently monitor and manage inventory levels for food items specifically designated for delivery.
  • Initiate timely requisitions for essential supplies while closely monitoring inventory turnover for delivery purposes.
  • Ensure that all food items designated for delivery meet the exacting quality and freshness standards.

Operational Efficiency (Food Delivery Focus):

  • Oversee daily operations related to food delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency in food preparation and dispatch.
  • Implement strategies for procedural enhancements aimed at elevating the overall restaurant’s food delivery experience.

Financial Accountability:

  • Assist in managing financial aspects related to food delivery, including cost control, revenue optimization, and overall profitability in the context of food dispatch.
  • Handle financial transactions, including cash and credit card processing, with precision and accountability.

Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and exacting food safety standards, especially with respect to food preparation and dispatch.
  • Stay informed and compliant with licensing and certification requirements relevant to food delivery operations.

Problem Solving (Food Delivery Focus):

  • Swiftly address and resolve operational challenges related to food delivery as they arise, seeking input from the restaurant manager when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A HND/BSc; a collegiate degree in hospitality or related fields is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in restaurant operations, management, or related roles, with a specific focus on food delivery via dispatch services.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and impeccable interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, especially in the context of food delivery.
  • Proficiency in essential computer applications.
  • Articulate communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, accommodating evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements: (Note: Virtual positions do not require physical presence on-site.)

  • Proficiency in working within a virtual environment, managing food delivery logistics.
  • Demonstrated digital proficiency and coordination in food dispatch.
