Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Provide counseling on policies and procedures
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans
- Handle employee relations, payroll and benefits
- Organize learning and development programs
- Assist in performance management processes
- Perform administrative functions
- Occasionally traveling off-site to deliver files or letters to other departments/recipients
- Handle staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures
- Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
- Discuss employees’ career development paths with managers
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
- Maintain a company calendar, Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings and distributing memos
- Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
- Monitor HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire)
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
- Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. letters, emails and packages)
- Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned
- Arrange travel and accommodations, and schedule in-house events
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a HR Officer and/or an Administrative Officer,
- Solid knowledge of HR procedures and HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Excellent listening, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of employment law.
- Ability to do research (dig deep).
- Great computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc)
- A deep caring for people.
- Effective organizational and administrative skills
- Meticulous attention to details
- HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute) is a plus
- Strong ethics and reliability
- BSc/HND in business administration, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus
