Human Resource/Admin Officer at an Agritech Company

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Handle employee relations, payroll and benefits
  • Organize learning and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Perform administrative functions
  • Occasionally traveling off-site to deliver files or letters to other departments/recipients
  • Handle staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Discuss employees’ career development paths with managers
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Maintain a company calendar, Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings and distributing memos
  • Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
  • Monitor HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire)
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
  • Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. letters, emails and packages)
  • Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned
  •   Arrange travel and accommodations, and schedule in-house events

Requirements 

  • Proven work experience as a HR Officer and/or an Administrative Officer,
  • Solid knowledge of HR procedures and HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Excellent listening, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law.
  • Ability to do research (dig deep).
  • Great computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc)
  • A deep caring for people.
  • Effective organizational and administrative skills
  • Meticulous attention to details
  • HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute) is a plus
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • BSc/HND in business administration, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus
