Head of Sales at Edukoya


  • Build high performing sales teams from scratch and guide them to achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue targets for New Sales, Referrals or Renewals
  • Develop distribution & business relationships to facilitate revenue generation for Edukoya
  • Drive sales targets growth by creating the right sales and pricing strategies and establishing optimal targeting approaches
  • Design sales quotas, targets, scripts for the sales team
  • Utilize a data driven sales approach using data to manage productivity, efficiency and rewards within the team
  • Lead and challenge the team to be results-driven; develop sales strategies to enhance our market positioning and our growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues and bring new ideas to improve our product and internal processes.
  • Coach the team to empathetically identify and understand the needs of the parents, pair them with the ideal tutor and organize trial sessions.
  • Monitoring self-performance at all times while also contributing to the team performance, keeping track of metrics, like conversion percentage, Average revenue generated per lead, Average revenue per sale,time to close, number of calls per day
  • Retain, onboard and motivate the best sales associates in the country to over deliver on targets.


  • Proven track record of exceeding targets in sales targets

  • Demonstrated experience and success in a sales role
  • Experience with quota and commission compensation structure
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment with minimal direction
  • Self-driven, motivated and results-oriented

Qualification and Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 6 years’ sales experience in the tech/software, ecommerce education, insurance or FMCG industry.
  • Experiencing building and leading sales teams is non-negotiable
  • Experience building, running a B2C telesales teams is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to communicate with learners, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Excellent presentation skills in both large and small groups
  • Working knowledge of digital CRM platforms, spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets ) and PowerPoint
